My son made me fall in love with fantasy football all over again.

Why can't I draft 10 quarterbacks? At some point in August, I thought it would be a good idea to initiate my oldest son, Mason, into the realm of fantasy football.  My son and I have gone on a few sports journeys through the years—cheering for our Wizards as they ran deep into the Eastern Conference playoffs, avidly watching our beloved Nationals compete against a crowded NL East, filling out March Madness brackets, and staying up late to watch the Washington Capitals run through the playoffs on their way to winning the Stanley Cup.  These experiences introduced and exposed him to the joys (and pains) of live sports.  But there is possibly no greater or more interactive sports experience than fantasy sports.  Drafting and building team.  Watching the results.  Looking in anguish as a player you wanted or dropped affected your team directly. The Journey Begins

Here, We Begin Our Journey baseball is a game of stories and this blog intends to entertain you just the same The journey begins today.  I have spent several years building towards this moment.  I've hesitated, mostly, because there already exists a significant number of blogs.  There's an estimated 152 million blogs out there.  152 million!  That's as if half the people in the country had their own blog (and admittedly, sometimes it feels that way).  Not even I know if I have something worth contributing, but I believe  that I do, and that's why I am here. More than anything, I believe I have thoughts, ideas, and stories that I can share with my children.  I'm innately aware of my mortality, particularly as I get older.  I'm routinely reminded of how short life can be and that my time could be called any day.  For all intents and purposes, I am writing this to my children -- my three sons -- so that they will have something of me to always have (
